SAIL Billet-Based High-Strength Steel Grade to Boost Construction Standards in J&K

New Delhi: Primegold-SAIL JVC Limited launched its premium-grade Primegold 550D Primary Steel in Jammu today. The steel variant was previously introduced at a national-level celebration in Delhi during Diwali.

Primegold-SAIL JVC Limited operates as a joint venture between Primegold International Limited and the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), with its manufacturing facility located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Primegold holds a 74% stake in the venture, while SAIL holds 26%. The company manufactures Primegold 550D Primary Steel using SAIL’s high-grade billets, which enhances the product’s reliability and structural performance.

The company hosted the launch event at Radisson Blu, Saffron Hall, Jammu, where Primegold Chairman Pradeep Aggarwal and Director Rahul Rana presented the product’s technical advantages, its relevance for modern construction, and its projected impact on the regional market. Leading dealers, builders, engineers, and industry stakeholders from across Jammu participated in the event.
