Rajasthan Pavilion Registers Strong Footfall at IITF; Romanian Delegation Tours Exhibits

Live Folk Performances and Traditional Art Stalls Create Immersive Cultural Experience

New Delhi: At the ongoing 44th IITF in New Delhi, the Rajasthan Pavilion is attracting a steady stream of visitors with its vibrant exhibits, showcasing major tourist landmarks, traditional crafts, and products from across the state.

The pavilion highlights a range of traditional Rajasthani art forms. The folk art stall maintains a regular flow of visitors, many of whom spend time examining the craftwork and engaging with the artists. Several visitors note that the pavilion offers a sense of cultural familiarity.

Exhibits include puppets, bandhanwar, door hangings, and home décor items from across the state. Live cultural presentations, including puppet shows and folk dance performances, draw groups of fairgoers. Visitors frequently record the performances, and children respond with applause.

Puppetry artist Ashok Bhatt from Sikar says he has worked in traditional arts for many years and participates in cultural events and fairs. He notes that audience engagement encourages him to continue his work and adds that government support and platforms like the trade fair assist artists in sustaining their craft.

A delegation from Romania visited the pavilion, toured various stalls, and interacted with exhibitors. Delegation members expressed appreciation for the products and the range of crafts on display.
