Faridabad, April 23, 2025 –
A new chapter of environmental sustainability is unfolding in Dayalpur village, Faridabad, as thousands of saplings are being planted through a tree plantation drive. The initiative, launched in November 2024, is being led by Imperial Auto Industries Limited in collaboration with the National Human Welfare Council as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
Since the project’s inception, volunteers have successfully planted hundreds of trees across the village. Imperial Auto has committed to planting 10,000 trees this year, with the Council working diligently to meet this ambitious target.
Council President Gunjan Mehta expressed appreciation for Imperial Auto’s support and highlighted that the village of Dayalpur was chosen as the location after thorough consultation with the village head and local residents, who have been highly supportive of the initiative.
With the help of the local community, the Council identified a four-acre plot of land, known as Herbal Park, which had remained unused since 2018. After securing necessary approvals, the team cleared the first acre of land and prepared it for plantation. Within a month, groundwork was completed, and large-scale planting activities commenced.
The Council is now planning to host a major plantation event on June 5, in celebration of World Environment Day, and has extended an invitation to Imperial Auto to join the program.
Beyond planting saplings, the initiative aims to foster greater environmental awareness among local residents and emphasize the importance of tree conservation for future generations.
