Dr. Mamta Chaturvedi Receives Prestigious Honor During Department of Fine Arts Golden Jubilee

Seminar Highlights Evolution of Art Education and Ongoing Efforts to Foster Creativity

New Delhi: The Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Department of Fine Arts, University of Rajasthan, included a National Seminar organized with Central Hindi Institute, Agra, highlighting the department’s five-decade journey in art and creative research.

During the event, alumni who have made notable academic, research-oriented, and creative contributions since the department’s inception were felicitated. Among the second-generation artists honored, Dr. Mamta Chaturvedi received special recognition for her long-standing contribution to the field of fine arts.

It was a proud moment as Dr. Chaturvedi was felicitated by her own students in the same department where she had completed her art education 44 years ago, in the presence of her teachers and colleagues.

Expressing her gratitude, Dr. Chaturvedi said, “I sincerely thank Dr. Amita Raj Goyal, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, for conceptualizing and realizing this wonderful initiative and for providing us with an opportunity to reconnect with our mentors after so many years. To praise her efforts would indeed be like showing a lamp to the sun.”

She added, “I would also like to extend my special thanks to Dr. Krishna Mahawar and Dr. J. P. Meena for their invaluable support in making this distinguished event a success. I am deeply grateful to all my respected well-wishers who, directly or indirectly, considered me worthy of this prestigious honor.”

Concluding her address, Dr. Chaturvedi said, “To receive this honor in the presence and blessings of my own gurus, from whom I once learned, is truly a moment of immense pride and divine fulfillment for me.”

The Golden Jubilee event featured discussions on the evolution of art education, the role of creative research, and the department’s ongoing efforts to promote artistic dialogue and academic excellence.
