Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday released Sanatan Sanskriti Ki Atal Drishti, authored by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, at the Vice President’s Enclave in the national capital.
Speaking at the event, the Vice President described the book as a heartfelt offering dedicated to Bharat Mata and a meaningful tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He noted that the release gains added significance as the country prepares to commemorate Vajpayee ji’s birth centenary. Reflecting on his association with the former Prime Minister, Shri Radhakrishnan said Vajpayee ji’s principled leadership played a crucial role in shaping modern India’s infrastructure, strengthening its nuclear capabilities, and reinforcing democratic institutions.
He further said that Vajpayee ji lived by the ideal of “Nation first, party second, and self last,” and combined ideological firmness with humility and moral strength. According to him, the book thoughtfully presents Vajpayee ji’s deep faith in India’s cultural heritage, parliamentary traditions, and nationalist outlook.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, addressing the gathering, emphasised the need to remove misconceptions surrounding Sanatan, Hindu, and Indian culture. He stated that all three represent a single civilisational consciousness rooted in inclusivity and harmony. Referring to Swami Vivekananda, he said Indian culture upholds Sarva Dharma Sambhava and respect for all faiths—values that were clearly reflected in Vajpayee ji’s public life.
Author and Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said the book offers an analytical perspective on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s journey through the timeless principles of Sanatan culture. He described Vajpayee ji’s rise from a pracharak to the Prime Minister as a symbol of steadfast nationalism, democratic commitment, and cultural rootedness.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar, National Book Trust Chairman Milind Marathe, senior officials, and several other distinguished guests.
