HRDS INDIA is set to host the inaugural Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 on 10 December 2025 at the NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi. The ceremony will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, while Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha will grace the occasion as the Chief Dignitary.
Among the six distinguished personalities to be honoured, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, will stand out for his significant contributions across national and international platforms. The award recognises individuals whose work demonstrates measurable public service, profound societal impact, and long-term contributions to the nation.
Dr. Tharoor’s selection highlights his exceptional influence in shaping discourse on diplomacy, education, and inclusive development. His tenure at the United Nations, coupled with his parliamentary work and authorship of over twenty books, underscores his dedication to strengthening India’s global presence and promoting public understanding of its culture and history.
Commenting on the award, Shri Aji Krishnan, Founder–Secretary of HRDS INDIA, stated,

The Veer Savarkar International Impact Award has been established to commemorate the extraordinary legacy of Shri Vinayak Damodar Savarkar—a revolutionary thinker, social reformer, and visionary patriot. The award recognises individuals whose contributions mirror his commitment to national development, moral courage, and societal transformation.
The inaugural event will bring together national leaders, policymakers, academics, changemakers, and civil society members to celebrate outstanding achievements that strengthen India’s democratic, social, and developmental fabric.
As a registered NGO dedicated to holistic Tribal and Rural Development, HRDS INDIA continues to uplift marginalized communities across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Tripura, Assam, and Jharkhand, promoting education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and women’s empowerment for thousands of tribal families.
The first edition of the award reaffirms HRDS INDIA’s mission to honour individuals whose work embodies Veer Savarkar’s principles—patriotism, resilience, social reform, and national service.
