The Divyang Para Sports Association of Delhi (DPSA) will organise the 3rd Senior, 2nd Junior and Sub-Junior Delhi State Para Powerlifting Championships 2025–26 on December 27, 2025, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Affiliated with the Paralympic Committee of India and recognised by the Government of Delhi, DPSA is hosting the state-level championship to provide a competitive platform for para powerlifters with physical disabilities to showcase strength, technique, and sporting discipline. The event will feature multiple weight categories across men’s and women’s divisions and is expected to draw participation from athletes across the capital.

The championship will serve as an important opportunity for athletes to compete at the state level and work towards qualification for higher-level competitions. Senior, junior, and sub-junior categories will be contested in accordance with prescribed age and weight classifications.

Speaking ahead of the event, Parul Singh, President of the Divyang Para Sports Association of Delhi, said, “Para powerlifting is not only about physical strength but also about discipline, consistency, and confidence. Through this championship, our objective is to create a fair and structured competitive environment where para-athletes from Delhi can test their abilities, gain exposure, and prepare themselves for higher-level competitions.”

Athletes interested in participating are required to complete the registration process online and submit relevant documents, including disability and age certificates, by December 23, 2025. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered. On-site verification of documents will be conducted at the venue on the day of the competition
