The Nehru Centre, London, hosted a cultural evening of fragrance, film, and Kathak dance, celebrating Krishna’s eternal Leelas and India’s spiritual heritage through the Shri Krishna Leela Collection.
London, October 8, 2025
In an evening filled with devotion, art, and culture, the International Samarpan of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection was held at the Nehru Centre, London. The event brought together dignitaries, artists, and enthusiasts in a soulful celebration of India’s spiritual traditions and cultural diplomacy.
A Sacred Beginning
The evening commenced with the divine chanting of “Om Krishnaya Vasudevaya Haraye Paramatmane,” invoking Lord Krishna’s blessings. This was followed by the screening of a short film showcasing the artistic journey and inspiration behind the Shri Krishna Leela Collection — a fragrance line that translates Krishna’s stories into sensory experiences.
Fragrance as Devotion
Mr. Prashant Kumar, CMD of Mode Retails Sales and Marketing Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of Ramalaya & JPSR Prabhu Shriram, addressed the gathering. He emphasized that fragrance can serve as a prayer and philosophy, offering pathways to connect with India’s cultural consciousness.
“Each creation is a living story — a confluence of bhava (emotion), bhakti (devotion), and sugandha (fragrance),” Mr. Kumar remarked, adding that India, as Vishwa Guru, continues to share messages of harmony, sustainability, and spiritual wisdom with the world.

Nehru Centre’s Appreciation
Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Director of the Nehru Centre, London, lauded the initiative. “This International Samarpan beautifully reflects India’s cultural diplomacy, where fragrance, art, and dance communicate Krishna’s universal message of love and harmony,” he said.
Krishna Through Kathak
The highlight of the evening was a Kathak performance by renowned artist Richa Srivastava, themed “Krishna in Kathak.” Her captivating dance depicted three Leelas:
- Kaliya Mardan – the triumph of purity over evil,
- Vastra Haran – Krishna as protector and eternal Nayak,
- Radha Krishna Thumri – the divine union of love and consciousness.
Through movement, rhythm, and expression, Richa’s performance left the audience spellbound, embodying the spiritual essence of Krishna’s eternal play.
Shri Krishna Leela Collection Unveiled
The event also marked the unveiling of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection, curated under the Ramalaya initiative. Each fragrance pays tribute to a divine Leela — Makhanchor’s innocence, Govardhan’s gratitude, Sudama’s humility, and Raas Leela’s transcendental love.
A Cultural Offering to the World
The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection to the Nehru Centre, symbolizing India’s offering of balance, devotion, and harmony to the global community.
This celebration reaffirmed India’s growing leadership in cultural diplomacy, where fragrance, film, and performance together serve as universal bridges of peace, consciousness, and devotion.
