Bihar Political Shift: BDA Announces Election Roadmap, Upholds JP Principles

BDA Demands Fair Representation for JP Leaders, Warns of Independent Contest if Ignored

New Delhi: Patna witnessed a landmark press conference by the Sampoorna Kranti Manch on JP’s Punyatithi, highlighting the movement’s enduring ideals and outlining BDA’s roadmap for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Political leaders, academics, and journalists attended the event.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Ram Pravesh Singh, President of Sampoorna Kranti Manch, reaffirmed the alliance’s support for the NDA but urged fair representation for leaders rooted in the JP movement. “We seek our rightful share of power — give us seats, do not make us rebels,” he asserted, adding that the alliance would not hesitate to contest independently if its legitimate demands were ignored.

Dr. Suraj Mandal, former MP & MLA and a key leader of the JP Sena, invoked the spirit of the original JP movement, calling for political awakening among Bihar’s citizens. Appealing for justice, transparency, and people-centric governance, he said “The JP movement must guide Bihar today. We cannot allow the same dynastic and corrupt politics to return.”

Outlining the BDA’s development priorities, Shri Anshumman Joshi, National President of Janhit Dal, said the alliance’s focus will be on job creation, industrial growth, educational reform, women’s safety, and anti-corruption measures. He said, “We stand for development with integrity. Those who have dedicated themselves to JP’s vision deserve a rightful place in Bihar’s politics.”

Professor Devendra Prasad Singh, Senior Advisor, Sampoorna Kranti Manch, emphasized Bihar’s vast potential in human capital and natural resources. He said, “Our youth must find opportunities here, not outside. Bihar needs new universities, medical colleges, and industries to retain its talent.”

The Bihar development Alliance currently comprises Janhit Dal, JP Sena, and Sampoorna Kranti Bhai, with talks underway to bring additional regional parties into the fold. The alliance reiterated its commitment to development-led governance, transparency, and the democratic ideals championed by Jayaprakash Narayan.

Candidate lists for select constituencies were also shared with the media during the event.
