New Delhi, August 1, 2025

The week-long Teej Festival Craft and Food Fair at Bikaner House in New Delhi concluded on Wednesday with huge public participation. The fair featured artisans, craftspeople, and food stalls from across Rajasthan, with total sales exceeding ₹70 lakh.

RAJEEVIKA’s State Project Manager, Mrs. Neeru Meena, said that 47 stalls were set up by women self-help groups supported by them, many of whom are national award winners. Products included hand-block printed bed sheets, suits, sarees, bangles, jewelry, traditional leather items, mojris, lacquerware, and Rajasthani cuisine. She said RAJEEVIKA’s stalls alone accounted for over ₹52 lakh in sales.

Saras Dairy’s Residential Manager, Mr. Suresh Sen, said this year’s Teej Festival saw high demand for their dairy products. Sweets from district milk unions such as Alwar’s kalakand, Bikaner’s rasgullas, gulab jamun, sohan papdi, cow ghee from Sri Ganganagar, as well as buttermilk, lassi, and shrikhand from Alwar were among the most sought-after items. Saras Dairy reported sales of around ₹3 lakh at its counters.

RUDA representative Mr. Om Prakash said 16 stalls featuring Rajasthani handicrafts and garments were set up under RUDA’s banner, generating sales of more than ₹16 lakh.

Additional Residential Commissioner Mrs. Anju Om Prakash said that on the closing day of the fair, Mrs. Shazia, spouse of the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, visited the exhibition and appreciated the rich display of Rajasthani art and culture.

The fair was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Secretary Mr. Sudhansh Pant. It aimed to provide non-resident Rajasthanis and Delhi residents an opportunity to connect with the traditional heritage of Rajasthan.
