VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Reforms Anti-Ragging Committee for 2026

Senior Journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh Appointed Anti-Ragging Committee Member, to Oversee Media Coordination

The Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital (VMMC & SJH) has reconstituted its Anti-Ragging Committee for the year 2026 as part of its institutional framework for student safety and enforcement of anti-ragging regulations.

As per the official office order the committee comprises senior faculty members, hostel wardens, representatives from civil administration and police, legal professionals, non-governmental organisations, parents, and student representatives. The reconstitution supersedes all previous committee arrangements.

As part of the committee for 2026, senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as a member. He has also been assigned the responsibility of Media Coordinator of the Anti-Ragging Committee.

Reacting to the appointment, Rakesh Kumar Singh said, “I would like to thank Director and Professor Dr Geetika Khanna , Principal and Medical Director of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and MS Safdajung hospital, for appointing me as Member of Anti Raging committee and the only Media Coordinator of the committee.”

The committee has been constituted under the authority of Dr Geetika Khanna, Director and Professor, and Principal and Medical Director of VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is mandated to oversee preventive measures, address complaints, and ensure compliance with applicable institutional and regulatory guidelines. The reconstitution forms part of the college’s standard governance and student welfare mechanisms.
