Nationwide movement was launched in the presence of saints and members of civil society

New Delhi, February 5, 2026:

The Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi Foundation launched the Shri Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan at a grand ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam Auditorium, New Delhi, in the presence of Sanatan gurus from across the country. Described as the beginning of a new era, the initiative marks the official start of a nationwide movement led by Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi, centered on spiritual awakening, cultural self-confidence, and social renewal.

Formerly known as actress, Guinness World Record holder, and spiritual practitioner Ishika Taneja, also known for her association with Sita Maiya alongside Yogi Adityanath, Ishika has now embraced a new spiritual identity as Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi. Her personal transformation and leadership of this campaign were described as a historic moment in contemporary spiritual and social discourse. The launch event witnessed the participation and blessings of prominent saints, thinkers, and representatives from across India.

Shri Devkinandan Thakur Ji Maharaj, praised the scale, vision, and execution of the campaign, stating, “The dedication and discipline with which such a large initiative has been conceptualized and brought together are commendable.” He blessed Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi for accepting such a significant responsibility at a young age and described the initiative as timely and essential for society today.

Shri Govind Giri Ji Maharaj, highlighting the importance of youth leadership, said, “Leaders like Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi represent a rare blend of spiritual grounding and modern leadership. Such initiatives inspire society to remain connected to its core values while engaging confidently with the present and the future.”

Acharya Balkrishna Ji of Patanjali, reflecting on Ishika’s personal journey, remarked, “The transformation of Ishika Taneja into Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi is the result of years of discipline, effort, and unwavering commitment.” He added, “With the collective guidance and blessings of saints and gurus, this campaign is set to evolve into a shared spiritual movement rather than the effort of a single individual. Such examples deeply inspire the youth.”

Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi, Founder and spiritual leader of the campaign, addressing the gathering, referred to the sacred timing of Magh Purnima and spoke about its deep spiritual and economic symbolism. She said, “When a nation connects with dharma, inner prosperity, and self-confidence, material prosperity follows naturally.” She further stated, “Spiritual consciousness strengthens indigenous systems, builds confidence in our own economy, and gradually reduces external dependence, paving the way for long-term stability and growth.”

Shri Alok Kumar of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) , emphasizing the broader social relevance of the initiative, said, “Movements like the Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan are highly relevant in today’s times.” He added, “Such leadership plays a crucial role in awakening social consciousness and strengthening national unity through cultural and spiritual values.”

Participants from various organizations, including the Vishva Hindu Parishad, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and other civil society groups, described the initiative as far more than a single event. They viewed it as a collective resolve bringing together saints, youth, and members of society to signal a historic shift toward spiritual prosperity, cultural confidence, and a renewed national purpose.

Looking ahead, pilot programs under the Ishika Shri Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan will be conducted in 8 states between February and April 2026. This phase will mark the first step toward the nationwide implementation of the campaign.
