Party Warns of Nationwide Agitation if Welfare-Focused Legislation Is Not Taken Up by Parliament

New Delhi: On Tuesday, the Parivartan Party of India gathered at Jantar Mantar to demand the immediate passage of the Jan Adhikar Bill 2025 in Parliament. National President Monu Mahendra Singh Rawat termed the bill a crucial measure for securing citizens’ social and economic rights.

Outlining the key provisions of the proposed legislation, Rawat said the Jan Adhikar Bill focuses on major public welfare measures, including enhanced safety for women, unemployment allowance for youth, a comprehensive national employment policy, pension schemes for farmers and small traders, increased pensions for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, implementation of equal pay standards, toll-free roads, and the establishment of a “One Nation, One Health System.”

Criticising successive governments, Rawat said political leaderships have repeatedly relied on election promises while failing to resolve issues faced by people at the grassroots level. “The Jan Adhikar Bill is a people-centric law that offers real relief, yet the government continues to avoid taking it seriously,” he said.

Rawat warned that if the bill is not taken up and passed in Parliament at the earliest, the Parivartan Party of India will intensify its agitation across the country. He announced plans for a nationwide mass movement, including a Jan Adhikar Yatra, gherao of Parliament, and other democratic forms of protest in the coming days.

The protest was attended by several senior party leaders, including National Vice President Akshay Gothi, National General Secretary Atar Singh, Indian National Co-Incharge Durga Prasad Kushwaha, National Secretary Sudhir Singh, Dr. Rajan Singh (holding the status of Minister of State in the Bihar Government), State President Basant Singh Bains, Madhya Pradesh Vice President Virendra Singh, Minority Wing National President Ubaid Sheikh, Narayan Chhagan, along with district-level office-bearers and a large number of party workers.
