Race Against Time: Dr. K.A. Paul Mobilizes Global Effort to Save Nimisha Priya in Yemen

Spiritual and diplomatic momentum builds as victim’s family opens door to clemency in a dramatic late-hour shift

New Delhi, July 14, 2025

Dr. K.A. Paul, renowned global peace maker and humanitarian, is leading a final diplomatic and spiritual push to save Indian nurse Nimisha Priya, who faces execution in Yemen on July 16. With just 32 hours left, significant progress, nearly 95% has been made through high-stakes meetings with both the Houthi leadership and the internationally recognized Yemeni government .

“God is doing miracles,” said Dr. Paul from Sana’a. “The impossible is beginning to move. For the first time, both sides, the Houthis and President Rashad Al-Alimi’s team are open to supporting a humanitarian resolution.”

Nimisha Priya, imprisoned in Sana’a Central Prison since 2017, was convicted in a complex case that drew global attention. Her execution confirmed for July 16, has triggered a surge of international appeals and grassroots prayers for clemency.

In what Dr. Paul described as an act of great courage, the victim’s family, including Talal Mahdi’s close relatives, has agreed in principle to forgive Nimisha. Nimisha’s mother is currently in Sana’a, holding onto hope alongside a growing global community of faith and peace supporters.

“Governments could not bring us this far. God is doing what no man can,” but still facing challenges Dr. Paul said. “We are in the final hours. Now is the time for prayer, unity, and mercy.” We must try our best peacefully. The rest is God’s perfect will. What is wrong in trying and praying.
Dr. Paul is in the region now holding crucial meetings with both side leaders. Churches and civil society leaders across the region have also joined in silent intercession and strategic support.

While some names and details are being withheld for diplomatic sensitivity, the situation has reached a hopeful tipping point. The final decision now rests with Yemen’s both leadership and the victim’s family, momentum is building. Pray hard for God’s miracles and politics to be stopped for the sake of life and justice .
