Union MoS Harsh Malhotra Lauds People Forum of India’s New Framework

Leadership team discusses phased appointments and public service outreach with government

New Delhi, 14 July 2025

In a follow-up to its recently announced national restructuring, the People Forum of India today reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots governance and citizen welfare through a high-level engagement with Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road, Transport & Highways and Corporate Affairs, Shri Harsh Malhotra.

A delegation led by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa, newly appointed National Deputy Chairman and In-Charge of National Headquarters Administration & Organization, and Dr. S. Manimozhyaan, National Chairman, met the Minister in the national capital to brief him about the Forum’s new administrative roadmap, which includes a three-phase rollout of appointments from national to taluk levels.

Dr. Bhargav Mallappa, known for his national and international contributions in public welfare initiatives, personally extended an invitation to Shri Harsh Malhotra to visit Bengaluru and engage with grassroots volunteers of the Forum. The Minister welcomed the initiative and assured full support and cooperation for the organization’s efforts in public service delivery. He said:

“The People Forum of India’s renewed vision for grassroots public service is commendable. I assure Dr. Bhargav Mallappa and Dr. Manimozhyaan of my full support and cooperation in all their efforts to strengthen citizen welfare and democratic participation across the country.”

Speaking to the media following the meeting, Dr. Bhargav Mallappa said,

“This is a crucial moment for the People Forum of India. With the complete restructuring now underway, we aim to create an accountable and technology-driven administrative system that truly serves the people. Our engagement with Minister Harsh Malhotra today reinforces the importance of collaboration between civil society organizations and the government.”

The National Chairman of the People Forum of India Dr. S. Manimozhyaan, who has been associated with the Forum for over three decades, said,

“Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the value of ‘Seva’ has gained national importance. The People Forum of India remains committed to its motto, ‘Public Service is God’s Service.’ Our meeting with the Minister today reflects our intention to work hand-in-hand with the government to strengthen democratic values at the grassroots.”
