Indira IVF Marks Expansion in West Bengal with Inauguration of Barasat Fertility Centre

Barasat, 12 January 2026: Indira IVF Hospital Limited announced the inauguration of its new fertility clinic in Barasat, further strengthening its presence in West Bengal and expanding access to fertility and reproductive healthcare in North Kolkata and adjoining districts.

Located at 2nd Floor, P. M. Tower, Jessore Road, Opposite P C Chandra jewellery, Dackbanglow More, Barasat, North24 Parganas, the centre will offer a comprehensive range of fertility and IVF services supported by Indira IVF’s standardised clinical protocols and technology-enabled systems.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Sunil Mukherjee, Chairman, Barasat Municipality, and Shri Avijit Nag Chowdhury, Chairman-in-Council (Health and Poverty Alleviation Department), Barasat Municipality, as Chief Guests. The event also saw the presence of Dr Akanksha Jangid, Zonal Business Director and Centre Head, Indira IVF Kolkata; Dr Sukanta Das, MBBS, MS (Gynaecology), FMAS, DMAS; Dr Priyam Biswas, MBBS, MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), FMAS, DMAS, MTLGS, Fellowship in Assisted Reproductive Technology (Infertility); and Mr Pranab Ghosh, Director, Kidney Suraksha Hospital, Barasat, as Guests of Honour.

Dr Rumpa Majumdar, Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist and Centre Head, Indira IVF Barasat, was also present at the ceremony.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Sunil Mukherjee, Chairman, Barasat Municipality, said, “Strengthening healthcare infrastructure is essential for community wellbeing.

The launch of Indira IVF in Barasat brings organised fertility care closer to families and reflects the importance of timely medical support for reproductive health.”

Shri Avijit Nag Chowdhury, Chairman-in-Council (Health and Poverty Alleviation Department), Barasat Municipality, added, “Awareness and access are critical in addressing fertility challenges.
