Dr. Rajkumar Sharma and Dr. Shruti Meet BJP National Secretary Tarun Chugh to Strengthen India’s Research and Innovation Ecosystem

Focused discussions on research, skill development, and academia-industry collaboration to support PM Modi’s vision of a self-reliant and globally respected India

In a significant step toward advancing India’s research and innovation landscape, Dr. Rajkumar Sharma, Punjab Chairman of People Forum of India – National Bharat Sevak Samaj, and Dr. Shruti, Managing Director of VA-RA Venture, met Shri Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the BJP, to discuss strategies for strengthening India’s research and innovation ecosystem.

The meeting aimed to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) and his roadmap to transform India into a Viksit Bharat 2047 and a global leader in knowledge and innovation (Vishwa Guru).

Strengthening Research and Innovation

Discussions focused on collaborative programs designed to boost innovation, knowledge exchange, and academic excellence across the country. Dr. Sharma highlighted the People Forum of India’s initiatives in vocational education, skill development, and community empowerment, emphasizing their alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission and India’s global research ambitions.

Academia-Industry Partnerships and Technology Promotion

Dr. Shruti outlined VA-RA Venture’s efforts to connect academia with industry through research-driven initiatives. She stressed the importance of supporting startups, emerging technologies, and interdisciplinary research. Additionally, she highlighted the role of digital platforms in expanding access to research and innovation in rural and underserved regions, ensuring inclusive and equitable development—an essential aspect of Viksit Bharat.

Recognition by Tarun Chugh

Shri Tarun Chugh lauded the efforts of both leaders, stating:

“Such initiatives are vital for realizing PM Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, where innovation and self-reliance position India as a true Vishwa Guru.”

He emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration between the government, academic institutions, and private sector to create greater opportunities in research, skill development, and entrepreneurship.

The meeting underscored the growing synergy between policymakers and research leaders. With programs like the National Research Foundation and Startup India, these partnerships are expected to generate new opportunities for youth, researchers, and innovators, strengthening India’s journey toward becoming a Viksit Bharat and a Vishwa Guru on the global stage.

This engagement marks a meaningful step in India’s ongoing efforts to promote innovation, nurture talent, and create a knowledge-driven economy.
