NDMC and Rajendra Chintan Samiti Host Commemorative Event for Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Participants Reaffirm Commitment to Dr. Prasad’s Values and Nation-Building Ideals

New Delhi: The Rajendra Chintan Samiti and NDMC jointly organised a commemorative ceremony near the Parliament House at Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s statue, paying floral tributes on the occasion of his 141st birth anniversary.

Dr. Yoganand Shastri, former Speaker of the Delhi Assembly, lit the ceremonial lamp and led the homage. He participated alongside Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi, Vice President of the Rajendra Chintan Samiti; Pankaj Sharma, Convenor; and members Lakshmi Devi Sharma, Devyani Sharma, and Monika Sharma.

During the event, Dr. Shastri awarded the “Rajendra Prasad Samman” to senior journalists and social workers. Recipients included Rameshchand Sharma, Vivek Shukla, Sunil Negi, Sanjeev Sharma, Kodle Channappa, Rahul Sharma, Manoj Sharma, Anurag Joshi, Mushtaq Ansari, Mansi Sharma, Aniket Sardhana, Jitendra, Khazan Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Rakhi Arora, Shivani, B.M. Gupta, Aniket, Monika Sharma, and Devyani Sharma.

Dr. Shastri highlighted Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s dedication, saying, “His life inspires truth, commitment, and duty. His leadership not only framed India’s Constitution but also strengthened the nation’s democratic foundations. His vision continues to guide the country.”

Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi stated that Dr. Rajendra Prasad symbolized Indian culture and values, and his life demonstrated how discipline and simplicity enable remarkable achievements.

Pankaj Sharma noted that Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s steadfast commitment to duty, even in difficult circumstances, remains a model for all citizens.

Devyani Sharma and Monika Sharma paid tribute to his leadership, simplicity, and service spirit, emphasizing that his ideals continue to inspire every Indian.

Young journalist Aniket Sardhana, one of the honorees, said, “Being honored with recognition connected to a personality like Dr. Rajendra Prasad is a major inspiration in my life. It motivates me to serve society with even greater responsibility.”
