UP Police Bust High Court Forgery Gang with Ties to Dholpur

Trio arrested for faking legal papers in Allahabad HC; more suspects under investigation

25 July 2025, Dholpur

In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Police on Friday busted a forgery and fraud gang accused of submitting forged documents with fake signatures in the Allahabad High Court. Three key members of the gang — Sanjeev Gaur, Aradhna Gaur, and Rajesh Kumar — have been arrested. The accused were produced under tight security before Justice Sandeep Parcha in Court No. 5 at the Prayagraj District Court and were remanded to judicial custody.

The arrests were made on the basis of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued by the court. The case is registered under Crime No. 167/2024 and includes serious charges under IPC Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B.

This case holds particular significance for Rajasthan’s Dholpur district, as the gang had earlier filed three fake FIRs there against a Noida-based healthcare company — all of which were later found to be baseless during police investigations and were closed accordingly.

Background of the Case:

According to police, the owner of a Noida-based healthcare company had filed an FIR at Cantt Police Station, Prayagraj, alleging that the accused — Sanjeev Gaur, his wife Aradhna Gaur, and Rajesh Kumar — forged documents with fake signatures and submitted them in an ongoing commercial litigation in the Allahabad High Court in an attempt to mislead the court.

In addition to this, the gang reportedly filed three false FIRs in police stations across Dholpur, Rajasthan, against the company and its employees. These FIRs were proven fake in subsequent investigations and closure reports were submitted.

Following the court’s directive, a case was registered under multiple serious charges including fraud, criminal conspiracy, forgery, and using forged documents as genuine.

Police Vigilance Uncovers the Scam:

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused prepared forged documents and fake signatures to derail court proceedings. Rajesh Kumar falsely claimed to be an employee of the healthcare company and submitted a fake power of attorney in court, even signing a petition using forged signatures of a lawyer.

Police were able to trace the fraud using document analysis and phone number verification.

Presented in Court After Arrest:

The accused were produced in Court No. 5 before Justice Sandeep Parcha under high security. The court took the matter seriously and ordered their remand to judicial custody. According to sources, police informed the court that more individuals could be involved and that a broader network might be unearthed soon.

Search for Other Accused Underway:

According to police officials, five more individuals — including directors, employees, and lawyers associated with the company — have been named in the FIR and their roles are under investigation. The police have appealed to the public to come forward with any relevant information about the accused or their network.

Police Statement:

A senior police officer stated, “This is an organized crime aimed at misleading the judiciary. Three main accused have been arrested, and investigations to identify and arrest the remaining members are ongoing. The police are closely monitoring the entire case and no guilty person will be spared.”

This decisive action by the Prayagraj police has not only safeguarded the integrity of the High Court but also sent a strong message: any attempt to tamper with the justice system will be met with strict consequences. The investigation continues, and more high-profile arrests are expected soon.

For Dholpur, the case is especially significant, as it was here that the script of the fraudulent FIRs was crafted. The police crackdown serves as a warning that manipulating the legal system — no matter where — will not go unpunished.
